Blue Christmas

Blue Christmas Service - A Service of Light in the Midst of Darkness

Christmas can be a painful time for some. It may be the first Christmas without a loved family member who has recently died, it may be a time that has always been difficult. Rev. Marie will offer a special "Blue Christmas" service on Thursday evening, December 18 at 7:00 pm. Come out, and join with us in sharing and hearing prayers, scripture and music that acknowledge that God's presence is for those who mourn, for those who struggle - and that God's Word comes to shine light into our darkness. Everyone, regardless of church background (or lack of it) is welcome.

Alzheimer Walk

Thanks you to all the Alzheimer Walkers!

Several members of JCPC particiapted in the walk to raise money for Alzheimer research. Though the weather was chilly a great time was had by all. Check out our photo page for more pictures.

Tea Party

All the King's Daughters Tea Party

What a great time we had learning to make a delicious (and easy!) cherry pie. There was conversation, laughter and many different pies shared by all. Oscia did a wonderful job organizing this event for the women of the church.

Thanks RNS!

Thank you to the RNS parent for the generous donation of time and materials for the new railing on our stairs. It is just the right height for little ones walking from the parking lot to the front door. It is greatly appreciated!

Lights

And the Lord said "Let there be light!"

Installation of new lights in the hall and classrooms will begin in mid-November. Jim M will be leading the project and is looking for some helpers. If you don't mind climbing a ladder or getting a little dirty, please sign up on the sheet in the sanctuary.
