    Happy 50th Anniversary JCPC !!!
Our anniversary celebration was great! There were pictures on the walls dating back to the ground breaking, original members, numerous camp-outs, youth group sleep-ins, mission trips to Baltimore, spaghetti dinners, plant sales and chicken barbecues. Old friends came back to visit and many stories were told. It was a wonderful tribute to our first 50 years. Be sure to take time to look at the beautiful quilt hanging in the back of the sanctuary made up of squares from members of our church family.   FORE!!
The 2010 JCPC Open is just around the corner. The 9-Hole Golf Outing is planned for Sunday, July 18 following worship. Don't worry about what your handicap is, or if you have any clubs (we have extras, even for lefties). We'll play at Southern Meadows Golf Course in Rush, $20 per player (a cart is $12 extra). We'll have a quick lunch before we play, or maybe burgers afterward. The sign-up sheet is in the back of the sanctuary if you're interested.
  Organist Needed
John Calvin is looking for an orgainst to accompany our Sunday morning services. The person must be proficient on organ and piano. They will work closely with the pastor and choir director. For more details, please click on the organist link.
Summer Fund Raisers - Plant Sale and Chicken BBQ
Thanks to all who counted plants, assisted eager gardeners, sold raffle tickets, cooked chicken, made deserts and cleaned up afterward. Both events were very successful and the fellowship shared was wonderful. As in most families whose members really care for each other, the work was hard but everyone had fun and the rewards were plentiful. Great job!
